Wat Phra That Suan Tan is in Khueang Nai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Inside the temple there is a stupa that looks similar to the that Phanom, an ancient boat, the Chao Mae Hong Thong boat, that was excavated in the Chi River, the Phra Thamma Thevo; bronze Buddha image in the attitute of subduing Mara, Lao style. In the year when the rain does not fall, the villagers will invite the Buddha image to parade around the village so that it rains, and the village becomes fertile again. Later this belief became the Phra Dharma Devo festival that is held annually.
